Project Controls Analyst/Process Improvement

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for the leadership and guidance of staff on assigned projects, and execution of current research and development of projects.

This position requires interaction with other groups within our organization to leverage internal resources to complete work, as well as working with support staff to ensure compliance of applicable rules and regulations.

As Process Improvement Manager, this position requires the manager to provide expertise and guidance in interpreting specifications, requirements, guidelines, and policies to assure process and product compliance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for the leadership and guidance of staff working on assigned projects.
  • Work closely with support staff, Program Managers, and customers to ensure execution of existing contractual work.
  • Responsible for analyzing work flow, and delegating work to staff.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Work with customers to manage current technical efforts
  • Monitor and provide guidance on current projects
  • Act as a representative for Matrix in meetings, and other professional venues
  • Be responsible for deliverables of existing contracts
  • Conducts regular internal audits and reviews to ensure programs maintain Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) compliance, determining the implications of analytical results and identifying and recommending process improvement opportunities
  • Conducts independent quality audits of project functions against documented processes and deliverables against defined specifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years of PCA experience
    • Bachelors in STEM related field preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of Experience in Process Improvement
  • Proven experience in performing statistical analyses and developing and using tools/models to perform processes analyses
  • Possess knowledge of government standards with risk, compliance, and risk management experience
  • Experience working on government/military programs
  • Proven technical management and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated success in project leadership and planning
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, current clearance highly desired.
