CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

 

Matrix Research has 10 years of success in research and development of radar systems, radar signal processing, signal measurement, hardware development, and advanced algorithm design. With a stable business backlog and projected growth, we recently committed to building a new office and laboratory facility scheduled for completion in late 2018. As part of this growth trajectory, Matrix is adding the position of Chief Operating Officer to our Management Team.

Duties and Responsibilities

The COO duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Provide management and leadership for administrative managers and their teams, including Finance, Contracting, IT, Security, and HR.
  • Assist the President and Program Managers in developing and regularly updating the 3 and 5-year Matrix Research business plan.
  • Assist in the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
  • Attend bid meetings and government industry days at the request of the President.
  • Work with Program Managers and President to determine bid resource priorities.
  • Assist in proposal reviews and writing, as requested by the President.
  • Attend Program Manager Meetings to ensure administrative staff are providing support required for successful completion of research projects. .

Requirements

  • Proven experience as Chief Operating Office or relevant role
  • Skilled in organizational development, personnel management, conflict resolution, budget and resource development, and strategic planning
  • Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, business development, contracting, and IT
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
  • Aptitude in sound decision-making and problem-solving in pressure situations
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field, Master's preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
