Senior Contracts Manager

LOCATION: Matrix Research, Inc.'s office is located in the Beavercreek, Ohio area. Relocation reimbursement is negotiable.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Our fast growing, dynamic organization is looking for a Senior Contract Manger to lead our contracts team in the administration of contracts and subcontracts on behalf of our company.

JOB RESPOSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and develop the contracts team.
  • Represent the company with the customer on contract related issues.
  • Provide expertise in identifying and mitigating contract risk, assuring customer satisfaction while protecting the company's best interests.
  • Hands on administration of contracts and subcontracts
  • Negotiate contracts with customers and subcontractors
  • Assist with issue resolution for contracts and acquisition related concerns.
  • Maintain proper audit trail records, and clear, organized, and retrievable records.
  • Oversee contract provisions to ensure all terms and conditions are met and all problems are resolved quickly and effectively.
  • Administer order delivery modifications, assigned contracts/subcontracts, and initiate contract procedures.
  • Prepare Consultant and Professional Service Agreements.
  • Work with the Accounting, Financial, and Project Teams to review and assist on necessary documentation and coordinate in administering contract invoicing and payments, job cost management, and contract audit/filing and closeout process.
  • Play an integral part in developing an acquisition strategy which includes cost/price estimates, statements of work, and source selection plans.
  • Other administrative support as necessary.

JOB SKILLS:

  • Able to work independently in a team environment.
  • Complete comprehension and command of the practices, procedures, and processes in contract administration.
  • Familiarity of relevant laws, regulations, and policies governing contracts (FAR).
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of FARS/DFARS
  • Knowledge of GSA schedules
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Sharepoint and Adobe
  • Contract experience with complex and state-of-the-art engineering research and technical issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience and skills planning, organization, and control of contract activities.
  • A Bachelors degree in an appropriate discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience working on Federal contracts in a contract administrator role, including administrating T&M, FFP, CPFF, FPP/LOE and IDIQ type contracts.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance.
  • Certified Federal Contracts Manager certification (CFCM) a plus.
  • Experience in an engineering project environment a plus.
