Mechanical Engineer

Matrix Research Inc. is seeking a mechanical engineer for an entry level position. One to five years of experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to problem solve throughout the design and drafting process.
    • Excellent mechanical and technical skills.
    • Proficient with SolidWorks.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficient with complex CAD design.
    • Ability to collaborate with engineering to conceptualize and prototype new designs.
    • Provide design feedback to customers and managers when required.
    • Produce engineering prints and communicate requirements to vendors and subcontractors.
    • Ability to perform manufacture and assembly tasks in a machine shop environment.

Requirements

In order to be considered for this position, all applicants must meet the following guidelines:

  • Experience with SolidWorks.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in mechanical engineering or related field. One to five years of related experience preferred.
  • Produce specifications for products and chooses raw materials and components to be used in production to meet component and system strength, size, weight, and other requirements.
  • Familiarity with part and assembly design. Hands-on experience a plus.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance (must be U.S. Citizen). Current Security Clearance a plus.
  • Adaptable with the ability to work in a team environment.
